Baby’s First Dental Visit – A Milestone

An important milestone in the baby’s life is to schedule a first dental visit with a Pediatric Dentist. First dental visit is educational and according to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American Dental Association (ADA), it is recommended to establish a “dental home” for your child by age of ONE.

Finger Brushes – In Action

As spoken before, finger brushes should be put into use once you notice the new tiny pearls emerge out. It is important that you brush their teeth. Lack of care can lead to early childhood caries damaging the just arrived teeth.

At the end of 1 Year

What you notice is that your child’s front teeth have come out and this means, even more, bigger responsibilities towards their teeth.

It is also recommended that you ask your Pediatric Dentist for anticipatory guidance (ie. knowing what might happen) which will help you understand the preventive measures to be taken at home to fight against the cavities.
